Double Roman roof tile

Up by chimney flashing have a broken Double Roman tile, any tips on removing, are the nailed or just hooked in place?

Depends on the installer - if you are lucky they may just be hooked over, on our roof the installers had only nailed every 3rd tile. Otherwise could be one central nail or two 1/3rd in from each edge

If it is nailed, a slate ripper might help, depending whether it will insert below the curve of the tile.
