DOFF cleaner wanted

Evening all,

Looking to buy or hire a DOFF cleaner. They are extremely expensive new and I cannot justify buying one the amount of work needed. Contractors are very scarce in Northern Ireland and they only really do commercial projects. If anyone can help me out let me know.

First challenge is to determine what paint you are removing. Send same samples to Restorative Techniques in Bristol, so they can assess the paint layers in the lab. No brainer for the cost of postage.

Depending on what the outcome is, DOFF or VorTech may not be necessary - could be just the chemical softener plus a high pressure heated jet wash does the job. Chemicals are probably more relevant here than the kit.

In terms of buying kit, the market is limited as the two firms tend to keep things in house. Rental of either brand doesn’t exist.

We need to remove a plastic based paint from three walls of our house. We actually had a doff contractor come out and test and it worked brilliantly however he decided not to take on the job. So we know it works like a charm

We tried Peelaway and it worked fine but it was messy and the size of the job means it would take forever

From research online, pressure washers may cause damage to the underlying materials. In our case it's a lime aggregate based stucco. It's tough so maybe it's worth a test.
