Disposal of hydraulic lime

I have a bag of hydraulic lime that appears to have gone off, it's a couple of years old and has gone quite lumpy. Just to be clear it's powdered natural hydraulic lime, not putty.
Just wondering if I can put it to use anywhere in the garden, or would I essentially be planting rocks?

I put a bag of old lime in the water storage tank to counteract the acidity of our private water supply.

look up which plants prefer an alkaline soil and put it there, but not the whole bag in one small spot. Or use it in your moat, like we do, to prevent algae growth.

It's great for breaking up clay soils.

thanks all, wanted to check it could be used as "lime" that is referred to in gardening terms. sounds like it can. Might be a while before the moat is ready
