Delft Tiles

Hi

We are looking for some delft tiles, for behind the cooker. Our thinking is mostly plainish tiles (with corners marked) with a few pictures thrown in. A web search throws up a few options but all pretty expensive.

Is anyone able to recommend a good source that won't cost the earth. We need to cover about 3-4 square yards so using expensive tiles is a non runner.

Norton Tile Co produce tiles with painted corners for £3.20 each and also do completely plain ones at £145 per square metre in either 4inch or 5 inch tiles.

Delft. That's where I bought one, blue on white, but they do other colours. Delft is a wonderful little town and well worth the visit.

If you go about 3/4 of the way down you will see several versions of the corner motifs including the Fleur-de-lys and Ox Heads at either 4.75 Euros or 5.39 euros a tile (130mm x 130mm). The decoration seems to be more authentic on these than on the Norton ones and -if you do want to get some feature tiles - some of theirs are stunning.

Thanks, I had spotted the Norton site but held hopes there might be something cheaper out there. Obviously not.
