Deepest darkest Suffolk

I'm in deepest darkest Suffolk for the weekend, at a place called Brundish. Never really been to Suffolk before. It's amazing, there are old thatched houses on every corner around here!

You are only about 3 miles away from The Laxfield Low House which I strongly recommend for a relaxing lunchtime pint on a Sunday. Oh, and it's thatched
Or if you want a cooked breakfast this morning, then Lane Farm in Brundish makes fantastic bacon and sausages.
Or, ... I've got some dodgy looking old wiring that could do with being replaced whilst you are passing

Alas Me!, I am on a motorbike so a lunchtime pint probably wouldn't be such a good idea. And of course I would come and fix your wiring, but oops, I haven't got any tools with me.

Yes, that one, I think. It's not mine, it's Giraffe's, but as I've just quit my job I've lost the works van, so I've borrowed Giraffe's Fireblade.

Which bits did you go to, and will the natives ever recover from seeing a zebra on a fireblade?

There must be something in the air - I've just taken redundancy at my place of work as it was going down the tubes. Maybe we should start a PPUK restoration business!

Jealous of the Fireblade, a friend used to have one, although I haven't seen one in a while!

I thought Suffolk was lovely, very pretty. And flat. I only saw the bit immediately around Brundish, as I was on a Yoga-for-Quadrupeds weekend. The yoga instructor was very impressed to see a zebra arrive on a Fireblade, as they get mostly goats on these courses, arriving on mopeds.
I'm not planning on working again for a few months, and am going to focus on the house full-time for a while. Work was very demanding, contracting full time - long days with hours of driving. I was getting nothing done at home, and I've had a temporary kitchen and a temporary bathroom for three and a half years now.
So it's all hooves on deck with the house, which I shall very much enjoy. Not sure what I shall do after that. I shall pray to the Employment Gods at the appropriate time.

My other spare-time (wossat?) pursuit has taken to organising gatherings of like-minded souls in various amenable places for a beer followed by a curry. Much nonsense is said, relaxed fun had, and happy people get trains home (or the nominated driver does the thing). When we moved from darkest Essex to Suffolk, the SACC (Suffolk Aviators' Curry Club) was founded and has met regularly ever since. Meetings rotate between Long Melford, Stowmarket, Woodbridge, Ipswich, and Oulton Broad.

I wonder if there are enough curry-eating period-property-dwelling Suffolkites for a similar PPCC to be viable?
