Hi all,
Desperately seeking decorative finish experts.
We are trying to date the cornicing in the only room that looks to have had an 'upgrade' (Tight Yorkshire Farmer) at some point in history. The house is an early to mid 17th Century Yeoman Farmhouse.
The cornice is attached to the plastered over beam by a frame where assume the cornice was built up on.
Pics show view from floor above looking down at the beam. Looks to be original lime plaster used inbetween the lats.
The room has a late 17th/ early 18th century stone bolection fireplace insert probably over an earlier fireplace.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
