Hi
I recently moved into a end of terrace 1880 house. We love the property as the previous owner had lived there for 70 years and it retains so much character. We have a 24ft x 8ft rear lean to structure that I have re glazed the roof since moving in. However we now have to try and remedy the damp ingress coming in on the external wall. The wall goes direct into the cliff side ,so back then they just made it as flat as possible and lime rendered it. It is so damp. I do want to use this space for a kitchen so need to try to retrofit a damp system. What would be best? Should I tank the walls? Should I fix a membrane and drain system. Just interested on what others have done.
Thanks
Iain
