Got a slightly heated utility on the side our Georgian house, solid stone walls, flagged floor, single glazed and drafty barn style external door. My fav room thou as it features the original lead piped water pump drirect from a well (doesn't pump water anymore thou)
Issue. Long story short the tumble dryer in there is causing increased condensensation on the single glazed window and that's triggered moss in some of the wood, as the glass Mets the wood. I assume it's dripping down and the slight cavity is catching the water vice running off.
Questions.
Do I dig out treat with something and then putty over?
Would perspex or another basic secondary glazing help or hinder in the longer term? I'm thinking it would improve the temp gradient, or would it just trap wet in a smaller space?
