I have a problem with my stone flagged floor the property is around 280 years old and the large stone floor flags in my kitchen are cracking and some of the stone supports are broken underneath and are sinking in there is a cellar underneath i am worried that the floor may collapse is there any way of repairing it i would very much appreciate any help as last week a local persons stone flagged floor fell in

Would I be correct in assuming that you mean stone supports of some kind in the cellar, that are supporting your kitchen floor? If so, then if some of these supports are broken, I suspect this may point strongly towards the cause of the sinking floor.
As Feltwell said, it would be very helpful if you could post photos of the cracking floor, and of the cellar ceiling underneath.
However, if my assumption above is anywhere near correct, then I think you may need to be consulting a structural engineer as soon as possible.

I agree that some photos or a sketch would help us to really understand what's happening, but I tend to agree with Penners that a moving stone floor on top of a cellar does sound like it may need the attention of a structural engineer - and possibly some stout timbers and acro-props for some temporary support.
