Cutting a flue liner

I have installed a flexible flue liner in my chimney and it is about 1ft too long, it is a very tight squeeze and I can't reach very easily up to cut this damn thing, has any one any good ideas as I cant get at it with tin snips and it is making a right mess of the end (lost pints of blood already!)

Can you reach up with a grinding disk and cut through it that way?

Thick gloves recommended though...

Cut it from inside with a dremmel?

I stuck the excess out of the top of the chimney, and then cut it of with an angle grinder.

The safest method would surely be to mark or measure how much needs to be cut off, withdraw sufficient of the liner to be able to get at it comfortable, cut it carefully with a hacksaw, then push it back up again.

I was going to try a dremmel tool, i will do that. I cant push it back up as I have fixed the pot with concrete and bolts. What blade do you recommend

I have a drill attachment that was originally a disk sander, but I removed the sander backplate and put an angle grinder cutting disk in instead, I know - not safe or anything but it was to cut somewhere that I couldnt get a grinder in. Same thing might work , but goggles, leather gloves etc. At your own risk.
