Crushed glass aggregate

Hi

Does anyone know where I can buy crushed glass aggregate and how much it is? I'm thinking of using this in the screed for my floor, rather than sand. Does anyone have any experience of using it? Thanks.

Hi Jaqy,

Ty-Mawr in Wales use crushed glass in their limecrete.

They may well be able to advise on a local source.

Actually, Jaqy, if you don't mind crushing it yourself, just take a look in our recycle bin any Sunday morning after we've had a dinner party.

I reckon you'd find enough wine bottles to screed over most of the Cairngorms.

Use cullet as well and have a nice sparkly floor. Easy to make yourself.
