Ah, the ”Nespresso Protocol” as it’s known. His Lordship went into the Nespresso boutique in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush to buy coffee while I went elsewhere ( Ok, probably shoe shopping ). He chose coffee and when he was asked if he had an account said it was his wife’s and gave details…… nope, no coffee for you to take away, even if you are paying and wifey actually benefits by getting the points. The bag was held until he could produce wifey! We could think of no reason for this approach as there wasn’t a free gift included.

As the chances of SWMBO actually picking up a paintbrush are less than zero, unless I like the color its not going on the walls.

I have a nagging suspicion that it starts at the on-set of puberty - you know, the mental conditioning that produces a sense that it was our idea and choice all along?

I was referring to the original post. The stereotype of the controlling wife and the henpecked husband.
