I have been reading recent posts about cast-iron ranges with interest. My problem is that we want to install a Victorian cast-iron Cornish range into our cottage.
The chimney has been rebuilt (demolished 1980s) and lined appropriately, as we actually want to use the range from time-to-time.
We know that we have to build the air flow and flue behind the range using fire bricks. But does anyone have an idea where I can find any diagrams/pictures of how this is arranged, please? I have tried the Royal Cornwall Museum library.
