Conservation Officer/ Building Inspector?

Anyone on here one of these?

This is not a "rant /rave/ or bad experience" post, I'm after some first hand or knowledgeable advice on what's the best route in to becoming one. I mean after all my county does need SOMEONE who's reasonable!

Yea, but in the remote area where I abode they are the same people. I think this might be unusual but probably due to lack of resources?

Possibly - there is no law which says a local authority (at least in England and Wales) has to have a Conservation Officer.

I think that works as a PDF, but omits a couple of case studies of people who have become CO's.

The route is pretty varied in my experience.
