You need to have the picture hosted elsewhere (I use photobucket). Your picture will then have a URL or address, probably starting with http: and ending with .jpg
Copy that URL onto this message form between the
Anyway, once you've registered, you can send your photos to the picture sharing website and put them into albums. There are many of these sites available.
Once you've done that, you can view your pics and their 'Image URLs'. The URL will let you link to, and display the pics to us.
On Picture Trail, there is a Direct Image Link, that looks like this:

You can copy and paste the above link into your post, between the

There's a test forum on PPUK to try it out on.
Hope this has helped. And maybe someone will show us an easier method!!!
Ah, an example of the fairly unusual eight over twelve glazing pattern.
The variation of course height is also curious. The masons must have sorted the blocks into piles of different thicknesses before building.
The unusual glazing pattern was due to a Victorian alteration. The window height was increased by lowering the cill, so they could put a bigger (possibly 2 over 2) window in.
Unfortunately the Victorian window had been replaced with a modern monstrosity, so I put the 8/12 in to keep the panes better proportioned.
Once explanation I read recently for varying course heights is that they used the bigger, heavier stone blocks at each scaffolding stage.
I'm curious as to why this forum doesn't have the post pictures function in the "Post a Reply" area. Other forums I've been on that use the phpBB program do and so you don't have to host pictures outside and go through all the steps. Is it because server space is restricted?
Judging by the recent capacity problems (see Simon's sticky), I would say that server space is definitely restricted. Much easier on the storage space to pull a picture off someone else's site!
