Interesting, although not so good when it came to customising it to my house. Nothing in their Georgian range is remotely like Penners Towers.

No, a basic 1800 ish traditional Northumbrian 3- bay in stone had 'em fooled too, although hardly a rarity.
Some sensible advice regarding energy efficiency, without ruining the character of your home.

What happened to the 'Other Buildings' that fall outside of the above categories? They're mentioned in the Part L Interim Guidance, para 3.6

I think it's probably a case of summarizing the more detailed stuff that they've written elsewhere, and cutting out the bits about vernacular buildings, historic parks and gardens etc for simplicity.
I cut and pasted, so they did say near rather than within as per their (admittedly only) interim guidance to Part L.
So nothing legally binding, just general advice stated a bit more loosely.
Interesting though - I'm 3/4 of a mile outside a WHS, and that's quite near in my book.

Yes, we are pretty near, and many an ancient monument around too. I don't think most BCO's would take much notice of something so waffly, which I don't suspect has much legal clout - none that I can think of, anyhow.
