Hello all,
I am hoping that the collective knowledge of PPUK can help me to come up with a bespoke solution for how to install a vent at the bottom of the cladding shown in the photos below (FYI - there are two new small timber replacement casement windows being installed in the spaces that are currently boarded up).
The new cladding was installed over the original cladding with a breather membrane and battens creating an approximate 35mm air gap. However, the installers didn't install a vent before the first board so I have to figure out how to retrofit one.
The intention is that the brick wall will be insulated with 40mm of cork insulation and rendered so the final buildup of the wall will be nearly about the same depth as the cladding. So I'm hoping that I can install a vented drip of some fashion below the cladding that will project slightly further than newly rendered wall. Does that make sense? Is there such a product available off the shelf?
If there is a straightforward solution that I'm not thinking of then please do let me know. I'm open to any and all options!
Thank you.
Scott
