Hello
I have spent a long time restoring a front door for my house. I don't know why. I seem to be cursed with never shying away from a challenge, but maybe the challenges I choose are not the most logical. I have spliced in new wood all over the place. It looks pretty good now, just ready to be thrown in the skip if we ever sell up. The bottom edge is a little rough, and I am considering screwing on a hardwood waterbar to stiffen it up, and cover the old holes from an old waterbar. However I don't think waterbars are a particularly traditional feature, even though they are quite sensible. Should I add one or not?
