Good Morning,
I wonder if any of you have come across the following, and could offer some advice.
Background: Bedroom with fireplace stack and 1.5 metre recess on either side.
Interest: Instead of painted bookshelves in recess, possibility of having chrome finished bookshelves?
Does anyone know of who can make such a thing? Admittedly, I'm having difficulty imaging what the shelves themselves would be made of, but I could imagine chrome trim shelves and chrome trim elsewhere. My contractor is suggesting a painted wood one, which will look 'fine,' but since I want a deco bedroom, I am curious whether chrome suppliers/etc can build such a bookshelf. Maybe it's too expensive, definitely more than a MDF/wood painted version. I would love to just buy 2 vintage medicine cabinets (sooo attractive), but they are usually only 6 feet high, and I've got a 12 foot height that I would like to leverage. (lots of books).
