 My abiding image of my brother aged about 14-20 is of him standing in front of an open refrigerator or cupboard, moaning, 'I'm hungry!'Flyfisher said:Don't worry. 16 is probably the peak of idleness and it'll get better from now on. I even managed to coax FF junior and a uni friend into a bit of outbuilding roof work a few weeks ago. Mind you, by the time we'd fed them both for the weekend it would probably have been cheaper to hire the A-team.

It all got a lot better when I chucked one out of the door, but I was extremely guilty when a suitcase full of her clothes (which I chucked out of her bedroom window) hit her on the head as she was trying to come in and apologise. They ( all three ) got the message, and in an ironic sort of way the older one ( 38 now!!) that landed with the headacke, told me not so long ago that was the time when I knocked some sense into herMoo said:When our son was that age he not only treated the house like a hotel, but complained about the service.
