We saw one like the thatch-on-stilts version at River Cottage, where it had fallen into disuse because the staff, or perhaps the chickens, allegedly found it too tall to climb into.

Thanks for the link Ivor.After rescuing a beautiful buff Orpington hen and aquiring a Silkie chick I have become a little obsessed with chicken coops for my girls! These are a little on the grand side but i'm aiming high :lol:

Although, my little knowledge of chickens tells me that unless their quarters can be regularly sterilised, their occupants are doomed. That would appear to be a problem with some of these lovely designs.
