After all this waiting it's all happening at the same time..
Esse arrives on Tuesday,
Aga 6/4 collection one week later
Kitchen floor being self levelled 2 days after
Painter here to do the back windows
Builder here to do the back wall ALL At the same time
Then-- whoo hoo--- the gas man cometh to change our antiquated gas meter ( their decision, not ours).

Tee hee.can't wait, what else will be added in, well the Neighbours start their conversion as well, we all share the same back pathway :roll: :roll: :roll:

Then he nailed right through a cable and out went all the lights!

He called me Mr. Sanderson, which isn't quite the name.
He couldn't reach the fuse box without standing on the bin
And his foot went through a window so I called the glazier in.

With his blow torch and his putty and his merry glazier's song.
He put another pane in - it took no time at all
But I had to get a painter in to come and paint the wall.

With undercoats and overcoats he painted every part:
Every nook and every cranny - but I found when he was gone
He'd painted over the gas tap and I couldn't turn it on!

On Saturday and Sunday they do no work at all;
So 'twas on a Monday morning that the gasman came to call...

It's the CAT enabled flueless (gas).

I missed my 4 oven aga ( heatstore) so much and really could not bond with my Aga 6/4, so sold it. Couldn't get a heatstore Aga in to the small kitchen because the flue installation requirements made it impossible, and there is not enough room to fully open the oven doors which have to swing right back. The electric Aga flue/ fan was going to come out of the wall in between some gas feed pipes. We also considered the Rayburn, but the pipage box stuck out across a door way, so eventually the Aga consultant reluctantly had to admit defeat

My heating Engineer suggested the Esse, and after a few cooking hints and tips from a well known PPUK subscriber I have taken the plunge

When the 6/4 deal is completed I will put the second hand cooker website address on for you to see, they've got some good range cookers.

I would love to be able to have a woodburning cooker--- the Rayburn Rangemaster looks very good, but a proper, reliable supply of good logs is well nigh impossible round here so I am afraid it has to be gas--- just hope the world does not run out of gas too soon.!!!!!

Also, if everything fails to dovetail in I can rush to my 'new' neighbour on the other side, he's in the music industry and plays the most fantastic Jazz, amongst his other musical talents-- quite well known too. So he can cheer me up with a repertoire. One instance where I am glad we do not have thickly insulated walls, free entertainment!
