I posted a thread a couple of weeks back on 'Masterpieces in the Attic' to see what other people may have found around their new-old homes - what a great find.
I am far from being an expert but the chairs look to be made of mahogany and are probably Victorian. Depending on condition they could be worth as much as £100 each so don't leave them by the bins.
There are lots of books around on antique furniture (Millers publish a price guide every year) but taking this photo to a reputable antique dealer in your locality should get a more accurate description and price bracket.
Obviously there is some kind of connection to the house and if they fit into your decor plans they could be very easily restored for use.
Provided the frames are sturdy a little soapy water, wax, fabric of your choice, tacks and some elbow grease will easily rejuvenate them - £10-15 max depending on the fabric.
