Cement render - nightmare.

Stuck between a rock and a damp problem. Mentioned our damp before in here and now decided that we need to rip off all the modern rubbish from the internal wall. My little investigation reveals a layer of gypson plaster over a layer of cement render. Under the cement coat remains what I believe to be daub and I am hoping this can remain in place.
The job is too much for me and wanting a good job done am inviting skilled trades for a quote to hack off/prep'/ and apply lime coats as required. The area amounts to around 30 s/yds or so. If I considered about one hundred pounds a s/yd would that be roughly reasonable? (East Anglia) Thank you for comments and advise.

I think £100/sq yd is probably a good estimate for plastering, however the time spent removing what is there, especially if you want them to attempt to preserve an existing substrate, could add a significant cost.

Thanks for input The Forge. I made a small error in my yardage estimate, its 30 s/yds needing the work. So that works out at 3k (gulp!) It is a lot of work involved with several coats and the skill factor so I suppose I need to brace myself for written quotes.
