cement dripping on newly lime washed wall

Had the roof and gutter/fascia replaced after the house had been newly lime rendered. Sadly the wall behind the fascia had to be rebuilt and as we can see it's pretty ugly. The worst part is cement drips that are a lot clearer in the vicinity. Can I scrape these off? How? I cant just use the limewash to go over it can I? Im running out of time and money however.

You could just limewash over the top but they may show through when the limewash is wet?

Since the cement drips will only be stuck to the limewash they should scrub off relatively easily if you're lucky. Then re-limewash. Where possible brushes are kinder to your render than scrapers.

its unfortunately stubborn, and I just bought a wire brush to try which hopefully wont eat into the render too badly!
And this absolutely wont be hidden by the white limewash, damn.

White pozilime paint over the drips to hide it then a coat of limewash over the whole wall to make the colours definitely match?

Posilime would hold on cement. Ordinary limewash probably would hold as well where the wall is sheltered by guttering. I would just limewash over. For mine where I have made mistakes it's not that it doesn't stick and look good for a few years. It just washes off in the rain when the base isn't good.

They should scrap off if its just drips, try using a putty knife (the flat edge scrapers, sorry can't think of the correct term). Get a nice wide, sharp one. Unfortunately if its an 'open textured' finish as it usually is with external render they'll be a key for the cement to adhere to so you might not get it all off but at least you can touch it up with lime wash.

As Lacan suggests, a putty knife or similar should get the heavier lumps off with a bit of leverage. A stiff brush and elbow grease willl deal with the rest,
