Cast Iron Copings

Does anyone know of a firm that still makes (as a standard item, rather than as one-off commissions) cast-iron copings for garden walls?The general quality (aesthetically) of off-the-peg railings etc. is pretty crummy but I'm trying to find someone who does a more historically authentic job, if possible at a similar cost.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Now all I've got to do is persuade the owners that it's a little village house and they don't need enormous Margot-and-Jerry-style gold fleur de lys finials on every spike... :roll:

Flying a house flag is quite acceptable if one is entitled to one (though in this case it's now a town hall and hasn't been a private house for 100+ years.)

Entitlement to a house flag is the same as entitlement to arms (in the heraldic sense) this site is quite good about the various types of flag and banner such an individual might be entitled to,

Yes, it's Warrington Town Hall - formerly Bank Hall, by James Gibbs, 1750 and probably his last work. Not a bad article by Wikipedia standards and it's where I pinched the photo from:

Yes, I think it's among Norwich's best buildings, and indeed one of the best of its date in the country - but then I'm quite fond of 1930's stripped classicism (always rendered unfashionable because of its continental political associations and not considered as revolutionary as the white-walled modern houses of the period - why must we always be living in a revolution?)View attachment 1
