cast iron cistern

I have a 'bell' cast iron cistern. I was wondering if there are conversion kits available so as I can have a modern cistern on the inside and yet use the cast iron box as I am nervous about paying a plumber to install as is, in case the jiggling that is needed makes it too temperamental.

You can buy plastic syphons and flapper valves, a link to an example is below. I've no idea if you can make it fit the cistern though.

Thank you for the syphon/Screwfix link, having contacted Screwfix I have found Thomas Dudley who supply syphons for my cistern!
