Capping Bricks

Does anyone know of a good way to finish the top of a single skinned gardenwall with 13inch piers? We saved some imperial ones with a triangle section but dont have enough to finish it so we may try looking for some modern ones instead (not easy).

Any good brands or small suppliers that do something like an Essex Red?

Unfortunately the reclamation yards may be your best bet Chris.

You can try Ridgeons in Saffron Walden, they carry a good stock of small batches of ( new) bricks especially for restoration work.

Another option is to cap with stone slabs if appropriate.

I went to Colliers brickworks in Marks Tey on the way home and they can provide what we need (at a price mind) but we can get some nice ones with either a round or pointed ridges.

When I had roof work done on my property several decades ago the builders required a couple of ridge tiles.
I went off to the local reclamation yard and found two that exactly matched the ones that the house already had.
It wasn't until the nextdoor neighbour needed some ridge tiles that I realised just how lucky I had been to get a match as all the houses down the road have ridge tiles with different shapes of holes made in them for decoration.

If you have a choice you are lucky. (and to hell with the cost)
