As the title suggests the house adjoined to me is not listed but derelict would the future purchaser be allowed to knock it down if beyond economic repair is so what are the rules regarding liaising with me and would a party wall agreement cost me to involve a solicitor or would the purchaser have to pay any costs regarding this

They would need planning permission to demolish if it's a dwelling in a conservation area. Otherwise they could apply to the planning authority giving 'prior notification' of intention to demolish. If the building has been 'deliberately rendered uninhabitable' they would need planning permission as the prior approval route excludes such instances.
Not so sure on party wall aspects although any impact on the wall of the listed building I would think would also trigger the need for listed building consent.

You mentioned in that previous thread just six months ago that the house was tenanted, so it can't be that derelict?
