BTU Calculators !

Evening all, does anyone have any good links to BTU calculators, we have no heating in our house and are planning to fit this year, it is a mix of old and draughty and a new extension, we used one from Bestheating and for one example it came back with 6700 the next site asked less questions and gave us 14000 ! then B and Q came it at 10000 - don't want to be under powered but at the same time not spend two arms and a leg ! open to suggestions, thanks

I've designed and installed complete systems in both our previous houses, using what used to be a free calculator supplied by Ravensbourne.
Now, it seems to be paid only

But for a complete system, as they say the cost of a design is piffling.
Especially as it's not just a matter of sizing the radiators, it's correct pipe sizes, pump size, boiler size, controls.

I used about 5 and took an average in the end. I added 10% on for 2 or more windows or if 2 exterior walls.
