Made something out of an old oak plank that I found in a skip.
Tin of Briwax 30+ years old. Lovely finish, with speed n ease.
Our elm beams, are all uncoated. Downstairs, they might have some 'originality', hard to tell. Upstairs, they have been blasted by a PO and are very bare, the outer woodwormed skin has been blasted off.
It occurs to me that I could do the lot with Briwax. Easier said than done of course, fiddly, not getting it all over the adjacent surfaces.
Any thoughts?
And is Briwax still as it was 30 years ago, or have the safety crackpots got at it?
