A machine searchable online database of the BL's 19th C newspaper collection! The search is free, but like a peepshow, they give only a tantalising keyhole view. If you want more you have to pay for it. I fear for my self control and my bank account.

Thanks for the link. This could keep me very busy. Searching the name of my village brought up nearly 900 results.
