This project has finished uploading pictures now. It's worth checking again - http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk - I found several new pictures featuring Feltwell Towers from 1947 had appeared. Alas, it's mostly either at the very edge of the shot, as below, or hidden behind trees and doesn't really tell me anything that I didn't already know. You can download images for free subject to certain license conditions, and yes they can be posted up here.



My house features a few times as they were taking shots of the old brewery that was behind us, which owned this house and several others in the road. By the time this shot was taken the brewery had become a mineral water works.

Thanks for that. Found my house although it's far in the distance of the photo. Very interesting site.

This place isn't in it. I have no old photos of this house. Recently went to a local museum exhibition about this particular village, and saw one shot of the corner of the gable end, and one shot of the bottom of the garden.

My village isn't there either but luckily living in norfolk we have emap explorer which has lots of images from 1940s :wink:

It's SOOO tempting to say that Norfolk doesn't need to be on there as it hasn't changed since the 1940's..... :wink:

My Norfolk birthplace (guess where that is?) isn't on there really, just pictures of endless fields on the fens from the surrounding area. Now they really haven't changed!
