bricks , flint , help?

i just cant decide , mostly because i cant tell one brick from another.
can anyone please tell me what kind of bricks these are? they look dark in the pics but are really an orange rather than red.

They look like "red rubbers". At least this is what my now departed brickie would have called them. Are they soft? Are they imperial? Are they porous?

they are soft , not sure about porous and they must be imperial because the house they are in is around 200 years old.
are rubbers 'soft reds'?

They look like what are generically called "soft reds" to me.

I wouldn't use them for your plinth - much too porous.

i was going to use this type on the facing wall and then engineering bricks on the inside skin, im not too keen on the way engineering bricks look , or can i get them to look like these?
