block paving

I want to do some block paving as part of a garden design with plants feathering edges. In an Edwardian front garden.I want the block paving to look old (not new and completely flat.) Does any one know of any companies doing something a bit individual?

You mean used large cobble stones, brick paviours or flagstones ?

Block paving sounds very modern and any builders yard will accomodate your needs. You can certainly get good new reproduction materials.

As to the used "real macCoy" which I think you are looking for, you have to search the reclamation yards where you may get lucky.

Most of this stuff is either in good use at present or disregarded as hardcore filling for modern block paving.

I am thinking of reclaimed brick look, so i suppose the only way to get this look is to use them.

Our previous house (1906) had a front garden partly paved with yellow stable setts which looked rather nice. I think they may be expensive to get hold of as we had several builders knocking on the door offering to buy them.
