When I went to visit my family in Kirkby Lonsdale in August I saw that my grandpa's old smithy is currently vacant. The last smith retired (or something) and I believe the smithy is looking for a new smith. As a family we would prefer that it remained a working forge than was turned into yet another bijou residence.
We don't own it however. Couldn't really see inside as it's all locked up, but the smell through the letterbox was soooh evocative.
