Black draught excluder

Can anyone suggest where I can buy BLACK draught excluder for my metal framed leaded windows? I can only find the self adhesive rolls in black and brown.
Or does anyone have an alternative suggestion for keeping out the draughts in the gaps between the windows and the frames? The previous owners of the house used bits of newspaper which is a bit unsightly!

Well don't use masking tape to seal the gaps as I once did many years ago in a very draughty house. When Spring eventually arrived I couldn't get the stuff off.

I haven't seen black draught excluder but perhaps you could make your own?
If you buy the brown brush-type excluder you could blacken it with a permanant black felt tip pen with relative ease when it is fixed in position.

You should have told everyone to be prepared for a shock when looking at the price. :shock:

One method you could investigate is using silicone sealant - the sort in a tube for bathrooms. Black may not be easy to find but colourless will be straightforward.

You need it to stick to one surface and not on the other. Masking tape or a thick layer of washing up liquid, various methods can be tried. Squidge it on the frame, close the window, and with luck you should get a seal which fills the gap.

Thanks for the Zero Gap tip - that price is for 100m - so perhaps I can get them to split a roll - I don't need that much!
