I have just found out that you will be living fairly close to where I am moving (South Somercotes) Any info on the area would be much appreciated. Thanks
Head towards North S, turn right at the house with the twisted chimney, past the church and the field with the footpath and we're the big old house with solar panels on the roof. Drop by.
Thanks Biff - we are hoping to get in there before Xmas. We will make an effort to call and see you at some point. in the meantime if there is any info you can tell me about where things are I would appreciate it. Is there a farm shop anywhere close by? We found out the other day when we went back to see the property - that the butcher/bakers in North Somercotes is closing down which we were a bit peeved about.
Farm shop in Alvingham but Louth has three street markets per week and farmers market twice per month. There are loads of independent small shops especially the world's best, Royston's Deli. (The one my daughter runs )
Oh yes I know the deli - we have been in and bought something every time we go to Louth. Thanks for that - we are looking forward to moving. We like Louth cos it has lots of nice individual shops. Keep your fingers crossed for us that everything goes smoothly with our purchase. It will seem strange being in a modern place but we are looking forward to having more land and more of a community feel than we have now. Still have to sell our cottage though - as i told the estate agent today -we just need a couple of midgets to fall in love with it!
