BBC One Documentary Research Period Homes

Hi all,

I'm doing some research for a brand new BBC One Series and we're looking to speak to owners of interesting period homes across the UK.

We're looking for properties that might have great talking points, which could be just about anything such as; period features, thatched roofs; an interesting history; conversions etc.

I'm looking for households who might be interested in taking part in a home swap short break for a couple of days with an interesting home elsewhere in the UK.

We want to celebrate Britain's great diversity when it comes to property, food, sights and crafts!

Someone can come and live in my house for a few days only if they earn their keep: clean up and treat all the remaining floorboards ready to lay, tidy and scrub the kitchen and bathroom, is a bit of plastering too much to ask? In return they must have a lovely clean home where I can put my hooves up for a few days in front of a huge roaring fire, with lovely local walks and perhaps a dog. Other than that, afraid there's no deal!

It's tempting, but would be just too time-consuming and stressfull explaining everything.

it would take a day just to explain how to use the well and water storage system:
How to recognise that the water is going low, and economy measures possible.
How to prime the pump if you let it go too low.
How to switch over to the back-up rainwater storage tank.
How to pump water from the 2nd rainwater tank to the 1st.
How to re-pressurise the header tank cut-off sensor if it overflows.

We'd get onto other topics during the rest of the 2-week introductory session.
