I'm looking for bathroom storage and I'm struggling to find functional but lovely cabinets. Any ideas?
Yes, added to the problem of "only the glossy stuff" is that the fashion seems to have turned back to pedestal sinks and I need a 'period' sink unit. I have a beech wall cabinet which came from ikea a few years ago but they seem to have discontinued that range now. I am tempted to adapt an old hardwood wash stand that we currently have as the drinks cabinet. (And no, we don't store the whisky in the bathroom!). It is a piece of furniture that would originally have had a marble top but this has been replaced with a trashy piece of softwood by a previous owner. It could conceivably take a piece of modern counter top to accommodate a sink. Otherwise I might look for some other piece of old furniture to do a similar job on, as I don't think there is an off-the-shelf answer that Is affordable.Sonyaclegg said:that's always the aim but not always the reality. All I can find is glossy stuff which is fine for a new build but not for a period property. I dislike shopping at the best of times and I'm really being tested in the search for appropriate stuff
I presume the bath is already full of coal, is it?Sonyaclegg said:I'm looking for bathroom storage
