I'm about to restore my sash window in the bathroom, and would like to reglaze with an appropriate glass (eg. frosted). The glass is currently not the wobbly glass, but the wavey stuff for semi-transparency.
What sort of arrangement would give best to give improved insulation (eg double glazing), and still maintain my existing frames? I think the depth of frame is about 1", but I need to check properly on that.
I appreciate I won't be able to have it to the standard of a new unit, but an improvement would be good. I'll be changing the weights anyway, so additional glass wouldn't be too much of a problem on that score.
I'll be refitting the sashes with draught proof beading, but would like glass that will give the best thermal efficiency for what I have, at a "reasonable" cost.
