I noticed in one of the Victoriana programs last night that Baseljet’s brickwork sewers were constructed using Portland cement rather than the more common lime of the day and apparently they are as good now as when they were built.
I just wanted to know why in this case the Portland cement hasn’t trapped water, spalled the bricks and damaged the structure as we commonly here about on this site?
