Back to the wasp problem -- Gardeners' Question Time on Radio 4 on Sunday mention wapsie nests.
One of the panel reported a large nest (metre or so diameter) in the garden shed - these were German Wasps which apparently are MASSIVE ... so think twice before swatting them --- and then make sure you get them first time.

and I'm quite hopeful that it'll solve my wasp removal problems.. the little b*ggers always seem to avoid landing on a flat surface where I could get them in my old wasp catcher so the idea of catching them on the wing before the cats try to eat them appeals greatly.. I should jolly well say so, old sport. Teach those damn Jerry stingers what surrender is all about, what?
