Are you finding the forum connection very slow?

Over the past day or two I've been having a lot of problems with this website. It often takes ages to load, or won't load at all. Firefox frequently reports "the connection was reset", which I find puzzling.

It's not happening with any other website. Anyone else having the same problems?

It's been a little glitchy for me, but I have only been dropping by very briefly and using a dongle type dial up connection with a very poor quality signal.

Ha, I should be so lucky. It's been a very very busy week. 40 boxes, 10 crates, one beheaded monk and 2 large elephants.... and that's just the beginning.

I noticed that the forum webpage wasn't loading the other evening. I assumed it was some sort of maintenance issue as I had no problems with other websites, so I just ignored it and it was fine the following morning.

:lol: in reality it is all slightly related to period property, namely difficulty of moving into! I know you all like pictures so I will post some later. Won't be as exciting as Joce's chandelier, and anyone elephant phobic should look away!

Not yet, as far as I know ( although these things are at the corporate whim ), but I decided to tackle the 20ft containers worth of "stuff" that was in storage. Not all of it by any means, just the aforementioned crates and boxes. I knew a lot was only fit for the recycling centre and that has proved correct!

I think PPUK forgot to put a shilling in the meter a weekend or two back, and things went a tad awry. It's been OK here since then.

Yes, folks - here in Suffolk, a shilling is still worth having.

You can get a ride on the omnibus, a seat in the stalls at The Roxy and a packet of 5 Woodbines...

...and still be left a ha'penny for some crispy bits from the bottom of the chip fryer.
