We used to contact our Borough Council CO initially for any proposed works, however the local borough council no longer has a CO, as it's all done at County Council level now. All well and good, but I've tried in the past to ask for advice from the County Council CO and I've never once had a return call/email, so I've given up on that route now.
It's actually for a new vehicular access in place of the existing one and because it's on a classified road, it requires PP as well. My thoughts are what's the point of paying the £206+service charge for planning permission, if it's going to be refused based on the CO's consultation, so I'd rather jump (or fall at) that hurdle F.O.C first...
