I have only managed to find one guy who is willing to quote for lime and it would be nice to know if his quote is in the right ballpark. Also both plasterers I have spoken to say lime is not necessary even though I have 9" solid brick walls and no dpm in the floor ( the walls have a slate dpc though). I am struggling to convince my girlfriend that dot and dab plasterboard is not the way to go as that is what all the plasterers are recommending. I could do with a couple more quotes and some alternative points of view from professionals, otherwise I may have to go for dot and dab and if it goes wrong then redo it it lime when I have an excuse to do so (such as wet dot on the walls or damp)!!!!
