I have been looking at this house for 15 years thinking how unloved it is ... it has been untouched for a long time. It has finally come on the market and of course I am busy with a project elsewhere.

I think a big bonus is what looks like a good habitable bungalow to live in for a couple of years while works are underway. So much better than a caravan

It does look lovely and the *size* of the project wouldn't deter me........but it's thatched - no more thatched houses for me :wink:

Interesting looking place but a real money pit I would imagine. Coincidentally the subject of auctions was discussed just last week among some of us in "the Other Place", because despite my phobia about bidding on anything ( let alone anything as radical as property ) I had been moved to a bit of a flutter via the internet for some antique plates. Another PP'er had very kindly offered to collect them for me if I was successful, which I was after staying up into the wee small hours on my side of the world. Three of the pieces had elephants on, how could I resist :lol:
