Antique WC restoration

I am busy sourcing antique sanitary wear for my cottage renovation. I have this lovely old WC which is in great condition apart from these marks around the top. I think it may be mold? Not sure if it has penetrated the surface but I'm struggling to find a way to remove it. Does anyone have any experience of anything similar and did you manage to remove the marks, and if so, how? Thanks

You can try neat bleach, that kills mold.

Porcelain is porous and so if the vitrified glaze layer has worn away the stain may have penetrated through and soaked in, again bleach can soak in and normally lightens any discolouration.

Try normal.household hypochlorite (chlorine) bleach first. If that doesnt work, you can move on to hydrogen peroxide, but be careful, it is quite dangerous, having said that, I occassionally put in on my head, so its not that bad.
