I have a damp problem in the basement room of a 1861 end terrace town house. There are no foundations and it is a solid brick wall.
It affects one wall only and the outside of this wall is under an arched walkway and feels dry. The path that runs alongside is higher than the floor on the inside though.
The inside has been dpc injected and tanked before plastering - though this was some years ago now (under 10).
The property is currently let, though the tenants will be moving on in a couple of months. I know it needs ripping out and doing properly and I will do so once the property is vacant, but can anyone recommend a temporary fix for now that will not inconvenience the tenants too much?
Any advice gratefully received!
