There's a remarkable picture of the Skegness fire in the centre spread of today's Grauniad.

The road frontage has, perhaps, been improved. It was pretty dreadful before the fire. Pity the folk who go there value the arcades more than the old hotel, which was abandoned some while ago and now is just a shell.

Some people like arcades though!

It was claimed that the hotel was listed, but I haven't found any listing description. Another historic building at risk though... now gone. Hard to believe something in such a prominent location was left derelict.
